Grief Support Groups

Snowline supports grieving adults, children, teens, and families. We offer programs for schools and community-based organizations, as well. We serve the Sacramento, South Placer, and El Dorado regions, regardless of affiliation with Snowline. There is no fee for services. Please call 530-621-7820 or 916-817-2338

Adults

Below is a list of Grief Group Offerings Snowline is hosting:

  • In-Person General Loss (Sacramento)
    1st and 3rd Mondays from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm
  • In-Person General Loss (Diamond Springs)
    2nd and 4th Mondays from 10:30 am-12:00 pm
  • Virtual General Loss (Mornings)
    2nd and 4th Mondays from 10:30 am -12:00 pm
  • Virtual General Loss (Evenings)
    2nd and 4th Thursdays from 6:00 pm -7:30 pm
  • In-Person General Loss (Western Slope Health Center)
    2nd Thursdays from 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm
  • In-Person General Loss (The Pines at Placerville Healthcare Center)
    Last Thursdays of the month from 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm
  • In-Person General Loss (Blossom Vale Senior Living)
    3rd Wednesdays of the month from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
  • In-Person General Loss (Brookdale Folsom)
    3rd Wednesdays of the month from 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm
  • Healthcare Professionals Group (Diamond Springs)
    1st Thursday of the month from 6:00pm – 7:30pm
  • LGBTQ+ Grief Group (Sacramento LGBT Community Center)
    2nd Wednesday of the month from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM

Additional Offerings:

  • Loss of a Spouse/Partner: A support group for those who are grieving the death of a spouse/partner.
  • Loss of a Parent: A support group for adults who are grieving the death of a parent. The group meets once a week for 8 consecutive weeks.
  • Grief Journeys (Walking Group): Small groups come together to explore local pathways and trails with a grief specialist/outdoor enthusiast. A relaxed opportunity to get out into open spaces and express the challenges and successes following the death of a loved one.
